Dealing with the deceased's property

If your loved one lived alone, you should ensure that their property is made and kept secure. This may include locking all doors and windows. You may also consider checking the property regularly to protect the property from burglary.

If your loved one had pets you should ensure that these are cared for.  Care may be provided by a relative or friend or alternatively an animal rescue service. This may only be temporary as some people will make provision in their will as to where their pets should live.
