“Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.” - Oscar Wilde
I qualified as a Solicitor specialising in Employment matters in 2018 having completed my training at Hedges Law.
I studied Law at the University of Westminster, before studying Middle East Politics and International Relations at Yale University. I started my legal career at the Court of Appeal where I was tasked with assisting the Masters in determining jurisdiction of the Court. Before starting at Hedges in March 2017, I was a paralegal at a national firm.
I act for both employers and employees on all aspects of employment law including contentious and non-contentious matters. I have experience in drafting and offering assistance with a range of employment related documentation including contracts of employment, settlement agreements, handbooks and consultancy agreements. I have also assisted clients with a variety of day to day matters including disciplinaries, grievances and performance management and have been involved in a number of tribunal claims including unfair dismissal, breach of contract and disability, sex and pregnancy, and race discrimination.
I am a member of the Law Society and the Employment Lawyers Association. I am also Treasurer of the Oxford Young Professionals Society.
What my clients say...
- "Compassionate and understanding."
- "Aleesha was excellent, very well informed and clear around the process and deadlines."
- "I wanted to say thank you, you were so lovely to me in the lead up and on the day of my Court Hearing. I truly felt I was in safe and trustworthy hands and believe the support of my lovely 'team' helped me cope with the stress of the Hearing in a much calmer, more rational and considered way. For that I thank you from the bottom of my heart"
