I am a specialist Family Law solicitor

My legal career started in 2007 at Russells in London, a leading Music and Entertainment Law practice and on qualification I specialised into Family Law. When I decided to move out of London and back to my home city of Oxford I was delighted to find Hedges Law - they share my passion for delivering the best possible service to our clients, embracing change and modern technology, and providing straightforward pragmatic advice so that clients can move on with their lives.

I am experienced in a very wide range of family law matters but my particular expertise is in the division of complex, high value international family finances when couples are divorcing. Many of my clients or their spouses are business owners or have inherited wealth. I will always do my utmost to help protect my clients’ financial interests, whilst achieving a fair outcome in the most cost effective and least stressful way possible.

For example, I can assist with:

  • Divorces involving complex business structures or arrangements, and trusts, both in the UK and overseas

  • UK and international tax and remittance issues

  • Division of pensions (to include private sector, public sector and armed forces pensions)

  • The instruction of experts to value assets such as residential and commercial properties, businesses, and other lucrative assets. I know how to ask the right questions of the expert to understand the true value;

  • Asset tracing, where its suspected that a spouse is being dishonest about the extent of their wealth

  • Dealing with third party interests in marital assets, such as the parents of one party

  • Pre-Nuptial and Post-Nuptial agreements to protect assets brought into the marriage such as investment and property portfolios, businesses, or future inheritances.

  • Advising on disputes relating to children, such as where they should live, how they should split their time between their parents, and where they should go to school.

  • Dealing with more complex matters relating to children such as where one parent wants to move abroad with the children, or where there are allegations against a parent of a serious nature.

  • Domestic abuse.

  • Advice in relation to private adoption, surrogacy and all other legal issues relating to the creation of families.
