I can safely say I like a challenge and living and practising law in the Middle East for 6 years was certainly that. A fab experience that I have great memories of, although I’m enjoying living back in the UK.
Prior to my law career I worked for 2 blue-chip companies in Bristol and this, together with being an organised and pro-active person (and a bit of a perfectionist!), helps a great deal in my role at Hedges in getting the job done well.
I enjoy being outdoors and love going to boot camp which requires commitment to go each time as well as physical fitness and mental toughness. Being able to run through the beautiful Oxfordshire countryside is an absolute privilege. Snowboarding is my favourite hobby although unfortunately I don’t get to snowboard much these days. I also enjoy a nice glass of wine and socialising mainly at the thriving local pub (hence the boot camps!) and am into all types of music and like nothing better than going to the Rewind Festival in Henley each year.
Being a mum of 2 young children means juggling home and work commitments, again another challenge, probably in the top 3 hardest so far, apart from cooking! I also help with lots of fundraising for my child’s school. I get through all this by taking a determined and pragmatic approach to both work and life and I don’t let anything ever beat me.
